General charges and payment

All our prices are quoted in pounds Sterling and are exclusive of which will be charged for all services where applicable at the prevailing rate.

Parking charges and tolls are not included and will be charged at cost.

Should a client be accompanied by a member of their or our security team we will always allocate a Security Chauffeur.

All hires are calculated as starting and finishing at Hyde Park Corner (Central London), except those hires to and from various airports or those hires that are subject to a fixed charge.

Minimum 4 hour charge.

A 100% surcharge is applicable for journeys on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and also from 18:00 New Years’ Eve until 12:00 New Years’ Day, thereafter the 50% standard surcharge will apply.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, account facilities are available on request and subject to a successful credit check.

Airports

Airport transfer tariffs are based on one way, direct non-stop transfers to or from central London, or vice-versa.
Picking up from airports we allow a waiting time of 30 minutes for domestic landings and 45 minutes for international landings free of charge. Thereafter waiting time charges apply.

Cancellations

Cancellations terms vary from country to country.  Please email info@securegroundtransportation.com  for the terms of the country you wish to travel in.  No Shows at Airports or Docks, which will be charged in full.  As directed bookings/day hire cancellation charges are as follows: Security Chauffeur full charge for all cancellations within 24 hours, for standard chauffeurs any cancellation within 12 hours 100% daily charge  24 hours 50% daily charge in UK.  Airport transfers: 50% for cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled pick up time.

Conditions of hire

When the client desires to travel to a particular place the chauffeur will travel by the route which is in their opinion the most suitable at the time, whether the route is shortest or not. No allowances will be made unless a route is agreed prior to the journey.

Secure Ground Transportation accepts no responsibility for any accidental damage caused by clients to the interior or exterior of the vehicle.

The hirer must not request or act in any way which contravenes or causes to contravene any part of the legislation which applies to the use of vehicles as applied under the road traffic legislation in the country of travel.

Seating Capacity

The company at time of booking agrees the legal seating capacity of the vehicle to be supplied. The hirer must not load this vehicle beyond this capacity.

Complaints

In the unlikely event of complaint about the company services, the hirer should endeavour to seek a solution at the time by seeking assistance from the driver or from the company. If this has not proved a remedy, complaints should be submitted in writing and within 14 days of termination date of the hire.

Cleaning Charge

Secure Ground Transportation vehicles are hired to the hirer in a state of cleanliness fit for the purpose of hire. Bins and or rubbish bags will be provided for general litter. Excess rubbish beyond normal litter and if the vehicle is soiled in anyway. Secure Ground Transportation reserve the right to levy a cleaning charge of £100, to enable the vehicle to be professionally cleaned. By making a reservation with us you are formally agreeing to these terms. Accounts customers will be invoiced accordingly. Prepaid customers agree to these charges being levied against the card used to make the original booking or if prepaid by cheque, agree to pay charges by return of post once cleaning invoice has be received.

Secure Ground Transportation maintains a strict non-smoking policy in all its vehicles.

Secure Ground Transportation will keep a lost property book at their office, and will endeavour to return any lost goods left in our vehicle(s) or subcontracted vehicle(s) to the customer.

Secure Ground Transportation and its chauffeurs have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the heavily influence of alcohol or drugs.

Account Holders

Account facilities are available to subject to checkable references.

All invoices are to be paid 14 days from date of invoice. This is subject to agreement when opening an account.

Invoices are issued in UK Sterling. Cheque payments must be drawn from a UK bank, alternatively credit cards, or electronic transfers to our bank account can be used to settle invoices.

We accept Amex, MasterCard & Visa.

5% admin fee is added to your final invoice.

Nothing contained in these terms and conditions can affect the Client’s statutory rights.

Any legal disputes will be heard and settled in an English Court of Law.
